Celtic Kick-off International Women’s Day with a Powerful New Website From Big Red Digital

Over the past few months we are delighted to have been working with the excellent marketing team at Celtic FC to design and develop a website that allows them to manage and present their Women's Academy teams online. 

Of course, Celtic FC have an illustrious history going back over 130 years. Having been established in 2007, Celtic FC Women are still in their infancy by comparison but now they are ready to move into an exciting new chapter and to begin writing their own history. The start of the 2019 season signals the club's move towards professional status and it is an exciting time for the academy as whole. Their ambitious plans for this expansion also provided the opportunity to develop a separate and unique online identity for Celtic's women. Today is International Women's Day, and what better time to launch this innovative new web platform?!

About The Platform

Following initial discussions and scoping, Big Red Digital have designed and developed a brand new Squad Management system. This has been built seamlessly into the already powerful Content Management System within our Big Red Business Platform. It allows Celtic to administer their whole Academy via one easy to use interface within the administration area of the site.

Through the squad management area, Celtic's content managers can:

- Add multiple teams to their squad

- Show team fixtures

- Add match results

- Upload match day programmes

- Manage players and positions

- Upload player photos and bio's

- Present player stats

Regular Updates

Celtic have already been posting regular news updates using the built-in blog and there are plenty of web pages giving great information about their Women's Academy.

Celtic have been full of praise for the Big Red team and our platform. Commercial Director, Adrian Filby said, “Big Red Digital have shown real passion in creating a superb website for the Women’s team that will showcase the players and the Academy. We look forward to working with Big Red Digital in the coming years to support the development and growth of this new platform and build on this fantastic resource for the Club and fans".
