Old Websites Never Die

Old Websites Never Die

Category: Web Design

They just stop being relevant

They also lose rankings with Google, make you look old and tired to your customers, make you look bad to your prospects (if they can find you), make your competitors rub their hands with glee, and generally tell the world that you aren’t on top of your game.

Of the 4357 websites we reviewed last month, over 1000 (just under 25%) did not work properly because they needed Flash downloads, had corrupt code on the home page (tags along the bottom for example), were not cross-browser compatible, and/or were not responsive to mobile devices.

If you have a site more than 3 years old you are at risk of some or even all of the above.

If you have a website then you have to accept that technology moves rapidly and the optimum lifespan is about 3 years before you have to start planning for a replacement or an upgrade.

If all you are thinking at this point of the blog is “That will cost me a fortune!”, then perhaps you haven’t experienced how a professional, well-designed, technically sound website is not a cost at all – it will pay for itself 10 times over and will be on a support contract that gets you free upgrades.

  • We specialise in websites that pay for themselves, with built in support contracts so you are upgraded in line with technical changes.

  • We agree targets and measurable improvements to your business before we even start work.

  • We don’t do technically obsolete websites – we get results.
