Using your Big Red Blog to Automatically Update Your Social Media Pages

Big Red Websites
If you want, your Big Red website can include a Blog (which is really a news section).  This produces a special article feed (or RSS feed) showing your most recent articles on Social Media. This powerful feature can save  a huge amount of time because, rather than laboriously copying and pasting links to all of your social pages individually, the RSS will help to drive valuable traffic automatically to your website every single time you post a new article on your Big Red system. You can also view this feed in a web browser under www.yourwebaddress.com/rss.aspx

The Big Red system includes already coded article feeds and custom tags to enable you to push updates to your social media pages such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn easily and automatically   This feed can be connected using a third party service such as TwitterFeed.com, dlvr.it and others to pass across the article link, title, summary and image, producing an eye catching update on all of your pages and a link directly back to your website.

If this sounds unfamiliar to you, don’t worry.  With the Big Red system you don't need to do anything differently when you post your articles other than ensuring that the images you upload conform to the following standards as set out by Facebook.

Image File Names
Naming images before you add them to the article on your website is very important if they are to transfer across successfully. Facebook's data crawler will not accept files that contain special characters (eg. ! “ # ? etc.), including the most common cause of errors, character spaces.

The file name should also include a correctly spelled suffix (.jpg, .png etc.).

Example:
'this is the file name.jpe'

'this-is-the-file-name.jpg'

Image Preview Sizes
For the best display on high resolution devices, Facebook recommend that you use at least 1200 x 630 pixels., your images should also be optimised for web-use prior to upload so that your web page loads as quickly and efficiently as possible. Once you a are using the Big Red system and complete some basic instruction it becomes an easy and routine task to do EVERYTHING RIGHT for SEO and Social Media Marketing with the Big Red system.
