Earlier this week, we started a series of articles sharing some tips on developing your marketing strategy in lockdown. Today we’re going to concentrate on the benefits of regularly writing articles, or blogs, to publish on your site and social media.

Why is blog writing important?

First and foremost, if you write an article, and publish it, it can help to drive traffic to your website to read it. And getting people onto your website is half the battle to getting them to engage with you! Once they are there, they are more likely to have a look around and engage with your products or services. So encourage them to click onto your site.

By consistently publishing new content on your website, this will increase your SEO and SERP rankings. Google likes to recommend websites that are consistently kept up to date. When you write articles, you increase your keyword density across your site, which will naturally help your organic SEO.

The content of a well-structured article can position you as an expert on the topic to your audience. You want your customers to see you as the ‘go to’ company when they’re looking for your product or service. If you can write informatively and eloquently, you build trust in your brand, and are more likely to have people enquire with you.

Lastly, this doesn’t cost you anything to produce. Yes, you have to spend some time writing the articles, but you don’t have to spend money on clicks through Google, or specific advertising space.
